ThermalWood Canada offers a wide range of thermally modified wood for many indoor and outdoor applications. ThermalWood Canada is able to thermally modify wood products using their specially designed kiln. The kiln operates at controlled temperatures that ‘cook’ the wood to bring out specific characteristics.

Why Go Thermally Modified?

The thermal modification process changes the characteristics of the wood. Notable advantages include:

Improved dimensional stability: less bow and twist and cupping
Eliminates the risk of decay and damage caused by insects
Reduces the risk of decay caused by humidity and other water damage
This is a green product: there are no chemicals involved in the process, so thermally modified wood is an environmentally friendly option.
